It can be very tough right now to find motorcycle training. Many training sites are on lockdown, others are so booked that it is difficult to find an open seat for a motorcycle training class. Here are three resources that you can use to find training in your area.
The MSF should be your first resource to find motorcycle training. They offer many classes like the Basic Rider Course, Intermediate, & Advanced Rider Course, though the later two courses are harder to find. Follow this link to the MSF website and enter your zip code to see what training is available in your area.
Total Control offers a different experience than the MSF.
Many Total Control training exercises focus on cornering skills and will definitely help you negotiate corners with more confidence and control. They are one of the largest training centers that focus on advanced motorcycle training skills. They offer many classes in California but they also have other locations through out the U.S.
If you have ever watched Motorcycle Police Officers on a cones course and wanted to ride like that, Pro Rider may be the course for you. Pro Rider is growing quickly and offers training techniques that motor officers use on a daily basis. Check out Pro Rider and see if they have a class in your location.
I took the Pro Rider Class in Dallas 6 years ago. Here is my video review of the Pro Rider Dallas class.
If none of these classes work for you or are not in the budget, MCrider offers self taught instruction through the Field Guide. Become a Member of MCrider and you will get access to the Forums and Field Guide. The Field Guide has exercises on emergency braking, cornering, control skills, and vision skills. All exercises are self led with coaching tips, diagram of the exercise, video demonstration and common problem correction. You can access the Field Guide on your smart phone and take it to the parking lot with you.
In addition to the Field Guide members get access to the forums. The forums offer expert advice from other rider coaches and experienced riders from all over the world. It is a great resource for riding skills or just to talk motorcycles. Become a member and get access to the best part of MCrider!
