Thank you to the Texas Motorcycle Safety Coalition, the Texas Department of Transportation, and the Texas A & M Transportation Institute Center for Transportation Safety for presenting me this past weekend with The Texas Motorcycle Safety Difference Maker Award.

“The Texas Motorcycle Safety Coalition, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute Center for Transportation Safety, will present the annual Texas Motorcycle Safety Awards. These competitive awards are meant to recognize, honor, and celebrate those individuals or groups who go “above and beyond” in support of the mission to increase motorcycle safety in the State of Texas. All nominations are considered for each of the following awards: The Texas Motorcycle Safety Champion Award The Texas Motorcycle Safety Difference Maker Award”

An MCrider member, SafetyDave, nominated me for this annual award. Shout out and thank you to Dave for nominating me for this. These awards were presented last weekend at the annual Texas Motorcycle Safety Forum, held this year in San Marcos, TX.

I had a great day hearing from some fantastic speakers and like-minded riders who care about motorcycle safety and promoting the world of motorcycling. Just to name a few there were speakers from the NHTSA, Former Harris County Judge Michael Fields, the American Motorcyclist Association, the San Marco Fire and Rescue put on a great crash scene demonstration, and many other great speakers.

I met several MCrider viewers who were at the convention, so thank you all for coming by, introducing yourselves, and saying Hi. Putting a face to the viewer numbers I see on YouTube is always nice. 😉

Thank you again for the recognition of me and the difference that MCrider is making. The title of the award is perfect…The Difference Maker Award.

I want MCrider to Make a Difference, I pray that MCrider is Making a Difference, thank you to everyone involved for recognizing that MCrider is Making a Difference.

Kevin has hundreds of in-depth videos for every rider's level.

The forums have thousands of riders sharing experiences worldwide that we can all learn from. It also features many rider coaches and instructors sharing even more knowledge! How to increase your riding skills, but how to use safe road strategy so you are not having to use those superior riding skills! The first year I had my Harley I dropped it two times when stopping at an intersection. You pointed out that I was turning the handlebars and hitting the front brake and after practicing your stop and go technics I no longer have trouble in that area. I also have used the brake and escape technic when confronted with a pick-up truck pulling a trailer pulled out in front of me and through practicing in a parking lot, it just became second nature and I avoided what could have been a really bad situation! Thanks for all the great knowledge and I will be watching anything that you will be putting on YouTube! I know that I have a long way to go but I am definitely a better rider since I began to do your drills!
