Today Harley Davidson revealed the spec sheet and retail price for the Harley Davidson Pan America. They have 2 models the Pan America for $17,319 and the Pan America Special for $19,999
They both have a 1250cc liquid cooled v-twin that offers 94 ft-lb of torque and 150 HP. The primary difference in the Special version is the suspension changes with electronic adjustments and the wheels. There are other differences but these seem to jump out to me the most. You can use this link to compare the full set of features.
One thing that a lot of Adventure riders were concerned about was weight. The Special weighs in at 559 lb wet and the base model at 534 lb wet. So they are on par with other large adventure touring bikes in the segment.

On paper it looks to be a competitor in the Adventure Motorcycle market but you never really know about a motorcycle until you have had a chance to sit on and ride the thing. This is an important motorcycle for Harley Davidson, I hope it opens the brand to some new markets.
